All Quiet Sunday Night
We have had a roller coaster ride of emotions since the last report. Although Jan's vital signs remain somewhat stable, she has not come out of the coma yet and has only limited response to family and hospital staff. The resident doctor has concern for possible loss in brain functions. However, after cat scans were taken and reviewed by a neurologist, he was unable to confirm signs of brain damage and thinks the trauma of medication and other treatments for infection may impact her slow response. She has been asleep but restless and agitated for several days. Tonight she seems quieter and more at peace. We are currently waiting for Monday's prognosis after the doctors review her situation.
